A public library started in 1959, when the municipality of the time decided to establish the public library and a reading room. Today’s library space is equipped with the support of the state’s Ministry of Culture, and it was ceremoniously opened in November of 1999.

The current library collection has around 11 000 books for children and adults, and it is being constantly stocked with new domestic and foreign books.
