Volunteer Fire Department Trilj was founded

Volunteer Fire Department Trilj was founded in 1952 by the municipality Trilj of that time.

Representatives of almost all Trilj families participated in its work, and it has around 40 members. The first president was Frane Gulin, his secretary was Tonći Jozić, and the commanders were Ivan Sarić and Mirko Kavain.

At the time of its founding, the department had only one pump which was horse-drawn.

1958 was a significant year for the departments, when the fire department was founded in Cetinka factory, and it had all the requisite equipment. Most members of this department got engaged in the work of the municipal fire department, which was restored in 1996, and sincethen it functions as an independent fire department.

The department today has 7 firefighting vehicles.

The makeup of the membership consists of 10 trained, certified firefighters and 20 operational volunteers.
